Corporate Bodies   

The "Corporate Bodies" vocabulary was developed by the National Documentation (EKT) to support the increased documentation needs of the content collected in its repository infrastructures. It is a bilingual, hierarchical vocabulary that aims to document and link current and past corporate body / organization names. The schema of the vocabulary is based on the madsrdf standard and in addition to the basic description elements (proposed name, identifying data, address elements, notes, related web pages) contains current hierarchical relationships (is part of, consists of) and past (was part of , consisted of). At the same time, it supports a series of historical relationships that describe the evolution of organizations over time (earlier and later name, merged with another entity and resulted in, resulted from the merge of, split into, resulted from the split of, absorbed, absorbed by). The vocabulary is constantly updated and enriched with additional terms in the context of its use.

  • Isegoria is an independent, Open Access digital publisher of learned books and journals in Classical Studies, World Archaeology, and the Humanities based in Nottingham. Founded by two classicists and professional editors, the publishing house aspires to live up to its name and offer a platform for researchers to present their work without costs or any other barrier. We rely on external funding from our donors, sponsors, and patrons, and therefore do not charge authors any fees. The main language of publication is English, the only language we are comfortable editing, with ample room for authors to use their preferred language (in long summaries, video abstracts, presentations, and other content). Isegoria offers free language editing services to remove the language barrier and support colleagues from around the world to publish their research in English for an international audience. Moreover, Isegoria values all languages and invites submissions for edited volumes and conference proceedings in the language of the editors’/organisers' preference. For the purpose of wide outreach and dissemination of knowledge, we ask the editors to provide a long summary of the edited volume in English or a bilingual introduction (in the preferred language of the editors and in English). We approach PhD theses in a similar manner: the authors' preferred language with a long summary in English (at least 5,000 words).
