The vocabulary "Professions - Occupations" is a controlled vocabulary of roles, offices, professions, and social or historical designations used to document the persons included in the vocabulary “Notable Persons in Greek History and Culture.” It consists of hierarchically structured categories covering, among others, political and administrative offices, ecclesiastical and military roles, scientific and artistic professions, occupational activities, participation in historical movements or struggles, as well as other social or historical characterizations. Each attribute is assigned a unique Semantics.gr term URI and is positioned within a clear hierarchical framework, supporting consistent description, retrieval, and thematic grouping of approximately 10,000 documented persons.
